Do you have experience of workshop support with a passion for DT?

The Trinity Catholic School are looking to appoint an DT Technician to join our hardworking and dedicated of Design Technology team. You will be creative with a flair for Design and Technology and will provide support through the preparation and ordering of materials for a range of Design Technology lessons. You will also be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of machines and DT equipment to ensure the safe delivery of the DT curriculum.

You will be working 24 hours per week over a minimum of three days, the details of which can be agreed at interview. There is a degree of flexibility within the hours with an expectation that they are worked between 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday during the school term time.

You will:

  • You will have previous practical experience of providing workshop support, cutting and preparing materials, and maintaining machinery. 
  • Prepare resources e.g. cutting material, install, repair and maintain DT equipment, e.g. pillar drill, 3D printers.
  • Provide support for the DT teachers by preparing materials and equipment for practical lessons.
  • Be caring and supportive and committed to achieving excellent results.
  • Support the students in the use of materials and equipment.
  • Carry out health and safety checks.
