Wood End Primary is a happy, thriving, multicultural primary school at the heart of the Northolt  and Greenford community in the London Borough of Ealing. We are  proud of our positive ethos where all children, parents and staff feel part of a caring learning environment.

Our teaching is stimulating and creative and encourages our children to continue their education outside of school and become lifelong learners. We want to ignite an interest in the world around them, and for that interest to lead to fulfilling and imaginative lives.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, talented and committed Early Years Leader to cover maternity from the 24th February 2025. The successful teacher must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) as recognised by the DfE.

Our staff are united, sociable, professional, supportive and ambitious for all our pupils.

We offer a superb learning environment and excellent support for all staff, including Westfield Health Benefits.  If you are the person to complete our team please come to visit, phone/email for an application form, or arrange a discussion!

Please contact the school office on 020 8422 6175 to arrange a tour of the school or visit our website at: www.woodendprimaryschool.com for more information and an application form. Please return all completed application forms directly to the school or email to admin@woodendprimaryschool.com.

Safeguarding

We are committed to the protection and safety of our pupils and expect staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the Person Specification, will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and need to supply two satisfactory references, one from their current employer. In line with KCSIE 2024 and safer recruitment practices, the school will conduct an online search for all shortlisted candidates. The online search is part of our safeguarding checks and will seek publicly available information on candidates’ suitability to work with children.  Shortlisted candidates will be provided with further guidance and will be asked to clarify their online presence.

Values and vision

Wood End Primary School aims to establish strong links with the community and teach children to become contributing members of society. The school wishes for pupils to develop the self-discipline and standards of behaviour needed to become active participants in the community.

Staff organise a variety of festivals and experience days to allow children to learn about their community and other cultures. Pupils are provided with the opportunity to visit local religious sites, to raise money for those in need, to sing to the elderly and to celebrate a range of national days.

Wood End Primary School also offers a variety of cultural and sporting activities.

Ofsted report

“Pupils behave very well and feel safe in school… They very much enjoy coming to school and so rates of attendance are consistently above the national average. Pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is a strength and contributes well to their understanding of life in modern Britain. The curriculum is well developed and helps pupils gain a breadth of knowledge, understanding and skills. Pupils thoroughly enjoy participating in the wide range of formal plus extra-curricular and enrichment activities on offer.”
