Having been involved in helping schools and educators improve their delivery of physical education, school sport and physical activity, you are looking for a new career challenge which will make the most of your talents. This key position of Education Innovation Manager with the Youth Sport Trust (YST) is just the opportunity you are looking for.
At YST we are focused on creating, developing and delivering programmes and initiatives that improve wellbeing and equip young people with vital skills for life. We are committed to empowering educators with comprehensive support and professional development tailored to their physical education, school sport and physical activity needs.
We are seeking a passionate and driven leader who is dedicated to supporting educators in delivering high-quality physical education, school sport and physical activity. We are looking for an individual who can bridge the gap between our expertise and the needs of the educational sector.
As Education Innovation Manager you will collaborate with colleagues to create a co-ordinated paid for and free to access professional development offer that meets the needs of schools and educators and inspires innovation. This will involve auditing existing benefits and professional development programmes, in addition to developing new initiatives based on need. Important will be the ability to work across the organisation to ensure our professional development offer presented to schools is connected, creative and meets the needs of educators. You will provide thought leadership to increase opportunities that provide professional development support to educators by identifying gaps in the market. This will include designing, testing and launching new initiatives. You will also manage our involvement in local and national conferences to share our mission and grow our followership. You will maximise our Wellbeing, PE and School Sport self-review tools too.
For this key role, you will have a solid understanding of education, particularly physical education, school sport and physical activity. This role is crucial in identifying the needs of schools, including PE leads, PE teachers, Heads of PE, and Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs) and ensuring our offerings meet those needs.
You will have experience of designing or co-designing content that will have helped schools and educators improve their delivery of physical education, school sport and physical activity. You will be used to developing, implementing and monitoring customer service and satisfaction standards as well as coordinating regional workshops & conferences. A proficient user of IT based systems, you will be able to manage budgets and develop implementation plans. You also will have worked in or with education or sport and have a good understanding of UK education landscape.
Effective at building relationships, you will possess excellent communication, presenting and influencing skills. Strong at project management, you will be highly organised and good at planning too.
The YST is a passionate and forward-thinking organisation full of committed professionals. As a member of the team, we guarantee you will feel very much part of our mission and will experience fun, challenge and fulfilment in your role. Our values underpin everything we do, and we pride ourselves on a work culture which fosters innovation, creativity and personal passion. Benefits include generous annual leave entitlement, health cash plan, employee assistance programme and volunteering days.
If you possess all these attributes and share our passionate belief in the benefits of sport for young people, please click the apply now button and complete an online application.
