Job overview
As a self-employed Education Mentor, you’ll deliver bespoke packages of interest-led learning to young people in their homes or out in the community, supporting them to achieve goals based on our specialist framework.
It will be beneficial if you have experience working with CSE youth justice, vulnerable family conflict or Mental Health CCE. Knowledge of the social care process would be a bonus as well as awareness of how to maintain professional boundaries as the role is with complex young people.

Education Mentor Role
- Developing strong professional relationships with the children and young people who have complex needs and have often experienced significant difficulties in previous education settings
- Understand the importance of emotional regulation and can implement strategies to support/model this appropriately.
- Have detailed knowledge of attachment disorder and how this impacts students.
- Following the guidance in each person's individual risk assessment/student plan to support them to manage their anxiety and behaviour in a positive way and to keep them and others safe.
- Utilise a range of strategies in supporting the range of additional needs we work with
