Job overview

The Educational Technology Coach is a full-time position, reporting directly to the Educational Technologies Lead at ESF Centre. This role is dedicated to supporting the integration of technology across various phases within ESF schools. The Educational Technology Coach will work closely with teachers and school leaders to enhance pedagogy, address practical challenges, and leverage technology to foster personalised, inclusive, and innovative learning environments. This position plays a key role in developing a cohesive and strategic approach to technology integration, ensuring alignment with ESF's broader strategic priorities.

We are seeking candidates who can start in January 2025, with the possibility of a later start in August 2025 as we expand our team.


Responsibilities

Pedagogical Leadership:

  • Lead and support school teachers and leaders to design and implement meaningful strategies for integrating technology into classrooms
  • Model teaching practices, co-teach, and offer in-class support to enhance learning and student engagement through technology
  • Foster a learning environment that is both personalised and inclusive, using educational technology tools to help meet student needs
  • Support the implementation of key ESF initiatives


Collaboration and Innovation:

  • Collaborate with school teams to align technology integration with school goals
  • Support teachers as they look to experiment and innovate with new technologies and approaches to enhance student learning
  • Promote continuous innovation in digital and modern teaching methods across the Foundation


Professional Development:

  • Design and lead professional development sessions to build teachers' capacity for meaningful technology integration
  • Provide workshops and one-on-one coaching focused on the practical use of AI, technology integration frameworks, and other key educational tools
  • Stay updated on emerging educational technology trends and bring innovative solutions to schools


Data-Driven Instruction:

  • Collect and analyse data on educational technology usage to inform instructional practices and drive improvements
  • Use data to provide recommendations and ensure the long-term success and sustainability of technology integration initiatives


Equity and Inclusion:

  • Advocate for equitable access to technology for all students, promoting inclusive practices that cater to diverse learners


Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education (preferably in Educational Technology, or a related field), or
  • Bachelor's Degree in any subjects with PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education), or equivalent
  • Relevant years of teaching experience within a recognised educational organisation
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in deploying educational technologies
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, or providing professional development for educators
  • A strong understanding of pedagogy, curriculum design, and differentiated instruction


Essential Competencies:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders
  • Leading with and supporting a range of educational technologies and digital tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate in the face of challenges


Desirable Attributes:

  • Higher degree/graduate certificate in Educational Technology or recently published articles
  • Educational Technology-related certifications such as Apple Distinguished Educator, Google Certified Teacher, Adobe Certified Instructor, Adobe Educational Leader
  • Record of working with peers through conferences presentations, professional writing, personal learning networks and communities of practice
  • Experience in 1:1 classrooms and handheld learning environments

About English Schools Foundation
