About BASIS International School Shenzhen 

BASIS International School Shenzhen opened in 2015 and was the very first school in our network. Originally located in a renovated previous structure, in 2023 the school moved into its beautiful new campus, with the ability to accommodate over 1,600 students in Grades Pre-K – 12 and state-of-the-art facilities for performing and visual arts, athletics, and sciences, in addition to stunning outdoor spaces and gardens. As an English Language Arts teacher, you build upon this foundation of language and social science skills and knowledge, covering topics such as the writing process, grammar, reading comprehension, and literary and rhetorical devices. You also collaborate with fellow teachers to create interdisciplinary lessons incorporating other subjects such as drama or history 

You will also: 

• Foster meaningful relationships with each student to ensure a personalized and successful learning trajectory 
• Guide students in pursuing academic achievement, personal responsibility, and intellect 
• Pursue continuous professional growth by participating in ongoing professional development, collaborating with colleagues, and staying informed on the latest educational techniques and best practices in your field

Work Experience

Who We’re Looking For

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in your subject area (Elementary and Early Education degrees are also highly valued for Pre-K through Grade 5).
• Experience: At least two years as the lead teacher in a classroom, a requirement for obtaining a working visa.
