Fixed term until June 2025 to cover maternity

We are looking for a vibrant and committed lecturer with the ability to inspire students and maintain excellent working relationships to join a successful English and Languages team. 

The successful applicant will support with maternity cover by teaching approximately 10-13 hours a week (likely across four days): most of the teaching will be GCSE English (Edexcel 9-1 resit) and there may also be the opportunity to teach on our Creative Writing Academy. 

Level 2 English provision is a large and important part of the department’s work; we currently teach GCSE or Functional Skills English to around 500 learners, including adults who attend our part-time evening classes. 

The successful applicant will provide high quality teaching, hold a relevant teaching qualification, and have a commitment to the delivery of an outstanding learning experience to our students.
