Salary: £22,620 - £23,775 per annum  

Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year 

Location: Paignton, Devon 

Do you have a passion for English and motivating students?  Our aspirational English team is currently recruiting an English Mentor to deliver intervention sessions to small groups of learners to bridge knowledge gaps and to support students in preparation for assessments and examinations to provide them with the best opportunity to make progress towards a GCSE English grade 4 or above.    

This role would require you to build positive relationships with the students, in and out of the classroom, follow up on their attendance and progress to maximise their full participation at college.  You would be part of a supportive and effective English team and work collaboratively with them to deliver the required English content to designated students with identified needs.    

The successful candidate will hold English and Maths GCSE at grade C or equivalent, have accurate spelling and grammar skills in written communication and a high degree of skill and confidence in ability to communicate ideas and topics covered up to GCSE standard. You will need to be approachable, professional and patient.
