Al Maharat School is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and dynamic English Teacher for Cycle 2 & Cycle 3. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop their language skills and a love for literature while fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment. We strongly prefer candidates from Anglophone nationalities who hold a Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field.


Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive English lessons that are engaging, interactive, and tailored to the needs of students in Cycle 2 & Cycle 3.

Design lesson plans that incorporate diverse teaching methodologies, including cooperative learning, project-based learning, and technology integration.

Create unit plans that align with the national curriculum and focus on developing students’ reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

Monitor and assess student progress through regular assignments, quizzes, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to guide improvement.

Utilize formative and summative assessment methods to evaluate student learning outcomes and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.

Maintain detailed records of student performance and progress, communicating results to students and parents effectively.

Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning.

Employ effective classroom management strategies to foster student engagement and minimize disruptions.

Encourage student collaboration and peer interaction through group work, discussions, and projects.

Actively participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated with educational trends.

Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and contribute to a cohesive educational experience for students.

Engage in school events, committees, and activities to promote a positive school culture.


Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

Teaching qualification or certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).

Proven experience teaching English at the Cycle 2 & Cycle 3 levels, with a strong understanding of age-appropriate pedagogy.

Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken, with the ability to inspire students through effective communication.
