Job overview

West Hill Park School is looking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic English teacher from April 2025.  This will be a full-time position and the role will initially require the successful candidate to teach English to pupils in Years 5 – 8. The successful candidate will be expected to play a full and active role within the School, including our co-curricular programme.

This is a fixed-term, maternity cover position and the opportunity to lead the department as Head of English can be discussed at interview.

West Hill Park is a thriving, successful and very popular Prep school and we have recently announced that we are thrilled to be joining the Prep Schools Trust from January 2025. We are located on the edge of the idyllic village of Titchfield and within easy reach of both Portsmouth and Southampton.

West Hill Park School is a non-selective, non-denominational, independent preparatory school based in Titchfield, Hampshire. It has approximately 270 pupils aged 3-13.

West Hill Park School was established in 1920 by Charles Ransome. Previously family-owned, it became a charitable trust administered by a governing board in 1959. The school is situated in 28 acres of grounds in the historic village of Titchfield, in an 18th-century building.
