In August 2025, we seek a well-qualified and passionate Teacher of English to join our team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspire students by building trust, motivation, and engagement in learning.
- Deliver high-quality lessons aligned with GCSE, A-Level, or IBDP curricula.
- Plan and implement student-centered lessons that foster academic achievement.
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress.
- Maintain classroom discipline and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
- Contribute to school development and improvement planning.
- Provide pastoral support, collaborating with staff and parents to address student challenges.
- Participate in extracurricular activities that enhance the student experience.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture.
- Engage in professional development to stay current with best practices.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A relevant degree and valid teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
- Proven experience teaching GCSE, A-Level, or IBDP curricula at the secondary level.
- Strong ability to engage and motivate students in learning.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using technology and modern teaching methods.
- A commitment to student well-being and safeguarding.
- Experience in contributing to school improvement initiatives.
- Enthusiasm for ongoing professional development.
