Executive Assistant to the Head and Bursar

St John’s is a thriving Independent Prep School of up to 350 boys between the ages of 3 and 13. Through providing a broad, diverse and interesting curriculum each child is given the opportunity to access learning in a meaningful and satisfying way.

The School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive person as Executive Assistant to the Head and Bursar. If you have excellent administrative, diary management skills and attention to detail this could be an ideal post for you. A varied role at the centre of school life you will provide EA support the Headmaster including diary management, minuting meetings and drafting correspondence as well as overseeing the smooth management of the school office. Additional responsibilities include Safer recruitment, first aid, management of the school office and responsibility for parental communication. Support for the Bursar includes coordination and minuting of key meetings and proof-reading. 

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled administrator with a passion for customer service and a strong alignment with the Ethos of the school. This post requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Prior school experience is preferable but is not a requirement.

The hours for this post are 8.30 am - 4.00 pm Monday – Friday term time with more flexible hours and/or reduced weeks available during the school holidays for the right candidate. FTE Salary is £40k-£47K dependent on experience.
