Knowl Hill School is an independent specialist school nestled in the beautiful village of Pirbright, Woking. We provide education for children and young people with specific learning difficulties SPLD e.g. dyslexia.

As our Facilities Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the safety, functionality, and beauty of our school environment. Your work will directly impact the well-being and daily experiences of our students and staff, ensuring that our school remains a safe, welcoming, and inspiring place to learn and grow.

We are seeking someone who not only has the skills and experience to manage our facilities effectively but also shares our values of compassion, respect, and dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of children with disabilities. If you are a proactive, solutions-oriented individual who is passionate about creating supportive environments for children with special needs, we would love to hear from you.

About you

You will have experience in the management and undertaking of building maintenance and repairs. You will be need a knowledge of relevant legislation including

  • COSHH
  • Electricity at Work
  • Safe Systems at Work
  • Manual Handling,
  • Safe use of Hazardous substances
  • Health & Safety

You will need experience of report writing and planning a schedule of work and producing associated Risk Assessments.

Cost control is a key part of the role so you will need experience of controlling budgets. Experience of managing and negotiating with external contractors is essential.

Hold a full clean driving license (Minimum of 1 year).

Desirable:

2 years previous experience in a similar position within a school environment, or similar setting.

A current IOSH qualification.

Proven project management experience.

This position has been award an annual salary of £32,000+ per annum depending on skills and experience.
