Corfe Hills School is looking for a Food & Textiles Technician G5 to join our fantastic team. Could this be you?
Actual Salary £18,370 (£24,790 FTE)- £19,027 (£25,183 FTE) per annum (Grade 5-6)
This job is Part Time - Term Time Only: for 32.5 hours per week and 39 weeks per year. Job share will be considered if you have experience in only one of these areas.
It is offered on a Permanent basis.
Approximate start date 01 January 2025.

Our Facilities
We are investing significantly in our facilities including a £3.3 million classroom reconfiguration project completed for September 2022 and ongoing replacement of heating and domestic water services. The school operates using Microsoft Office 365 and we make extensive use of Microsoft Teams. Teams is our platform for sharing resources, setting homework and collaborating with colleagues. Students and staff also have remote access to the school’s network.

The Role
Corfe Hills School is looking for someone who can:
- Provide administrative and practical support to teaching staff in the department.
- Support the teaching staff within designated subject areas/departments to ensure the safe and proper use and maintenance of resources and equipment.
- Assist the designated class teachers/s or subject leader plan and deliver schemes of work.
- Care and maintenance of large/small kitchen and sewing equipment (including fault finding)
- Willingness to carry out domestic tasks e.g. washing up and laundry.
with the following skills:
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills
- Practical skills related to cooking and sewing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English for all student and public-facing roles
- Be able to use ICT for data entry and creating displays for pupils’ work.
- Quick Learner
- Willingness to learn new skills and undertake relevant training opportunities
Ideally, we would like to appoint someone who has previous experience of:
- Working in a school environment
- Administering First Aid
