We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring person (female/male) to join as a
Graduate Assistant, Science, Intern Teacher of Science (Chemistry or Biology specialism)
Workload: 100% - includes evening and weekend work, as required.
Start date: 01 August 2025
The position will suit candidates who are interested in teaching and enjoy the challenge of working with bright and inquisitive international students, aged 13 – 19 (grades 7 to 12).
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with highly experienced Science teachers to co-teach engaging, hands-on lessons across various scientific disciplines in the IB Diploma and iGCSE, gaining valuable classroom experience in an international setting.
- Contribute to the planning and preparation of dynamic lessons, IB Diploma curriculum development, experiments, and assessments, while learning best practices in curriculum design.
- Provide individualized support to students, working with small groups or one-on-one to enhance their understanding of scientific concepts and foster curiosity.
- Lead or assist in organizing co-curricular science activities, such as science clubs, fairs, or competitions, encouraging students to explore and engage with science beyond the classroom.
- Play a key role in creating an inspiring and interactive learning environment, helping students from diverse backgrounds to discover and nurture their passion for Science.
- Benefit from mentorship and professional development within a collaborative and supportive department, gaining the skills and confidence to grow as an educator.
