We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Design and Technology to join our team of exceptional educators / Subject Leader. Could that be you?

As our subject leader, you will be responsible for leading the Design and Technology department, fostering creativity, innovation, and excellence in teaching and learning. You will play a key role in curriculum development, staff management, and ensuring high standards of achievement for all students.

About the Role and You

Contract type: Full-time, permanent

Salary: Dependent on experience

Start date: January 2025

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and manage the Design and Technology department, including staff development, performance management, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement an engaging and challenging curriculum that meets the needs of all learners and promotes the acquisition of essential skills and knowledge.
  • Inspire and support colleagues to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences, utilizing innovative pedagogical approaches and technologies.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor’s degree in design and technology, or a related field.
  • Significant experience teaching up to GCSE and A Level.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A creative and innovative approach to curriculum design.
