Head of Mathematics (Extended Senior Leadership Team) – required for August 2025

DBIS seeks to appoint an inspiring and committed Head of Mathematics to join our vibrant international school community. This role provides an excellent opportunity to lead and develop the Mathematics department while working as part of the Extended Senior Leadership Team, alongside other core subject heads, to drive positive change and enhance teaching and learning across the school.

As the Secondary phase and Mathematics department continue to expand, this is a particularly exciting time to join DBIS, with ample opportunities for professional growth and development. The position is ideal for aspiring Assistant or Deputy Heads looking to take the next step in their leadership journey within a stimulating and forward-thinking educational environment.

To be considered, it is essential to have:

• Proven experience in effective leadership within an educational setting; 
• A minimum of two years’ experience in a full-time class teaching role;        
• A bachelor’s (or equivalent) degree in Mathematics or a closely related field;
• A relevant postgraduate teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS);
• Experience teaching (I)GCSE and A Level Mathematics to a high quality (applications from IB Mathematics teachers will also be accepted).

It is desirable to have: 

• A master's or postgraduate qualification in a related subject;
• Experience working with EAL students (English as an Additional Language);
• Experience or interest in being an examiner for (I)GCSE and/or A Level. 

All new teachers are offered two-year renewable contracts and a competitive compensation package, with a gratuity of 18.75%, an additional monthly cash allowance, remuneration of school fees for one child and full medical and dental insurance for the employee.
