We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Nurse to be a part of our Health Centre team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for promoting health and well-being in young people, and will be able to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including pupils, staff, parents, and external healthcare professionals.
Wycliffe is a thriving day and boarding school for boys and girls aged from 3 to 18, set within the heart of the Cotswolds. The Health Centre Nurse will be responsible for working with the wider pastoral team across the college to support the medical and general health needs of the school’s pupils.
Terms of Appointment
This is a permanent position offered on a part-time basis, term-time only. This role comes with a “live-in” option; please enquire before applying.
Working hours are four days per week:
• Wednesdays (either early or late),
• Thursdays (early 7.45am to 4.15pm),
• Fridays (early 7.45am to 4.15pm); and
• Either Mondays (early) or Tuesdays (either early or late)
Working hours also includes one in three weekends. A weekend shift is 8am until 4pm on a Saturday with an 8am to 4pm on-call on a Sunday.
Other essential hours include regular team meetings and some on-call working.
Term time is 35 weeks per year – full holiday pay of 5.6 weeks is also included. Special rates are paid for callouts when needed. The nurses also work 4 days over the summer holiday; there is flexibility around these days.

Wycliffe is an HMC co-educational day and boarding school. Wycliffe is located in Stonehouse, approximately 25 miles north of Bristol and 15 miles south of Cheltenham and Gloucester. Access via the motorway network is convenient (we are 3 miles from the M5) and there is a train station in Stonehouse (on the main line from London to Cheltenham) which is just a two minute walk from the school gates. In the Senior School pupils join at Year 9 (age 13) and continue until Year 13 (age 18). There are around 420 pupils in the school and 225 in the Sixth Form. Some 27 subjects are offered at A Level including Japanese, Film Studies, Computer Science and Psychology. Three BTECs are on offer as well as the EPQ. Main sports are rugby, football and cricket for boys with hockey, netball and tennis for girls. Wycliffe is the top school in the UK for squash, and excels at rowing and basketball and there is a thriving CCF.
