Phoenix Arch School is an over-subscribed community SEN school with a strong and supportive staff team. All pupils attending the school have a diagnosis of ASD. We are situated close to the North Circular Road in Neasden in the London Borough of Brent with good bus service. The school’s learning environment has been developed to meet the needs of pupils, resulting in exceptional learning facilities and well-matched quality resources, therefore pupils have every opportunity to thrive. We offer three learning pathways based on the National Curriculum that enables pupils to access learning at a level appropriate for their needs.

 

The post

We are looking for a creative and organised individual who is able to work independently and as part of a team. You will be self- motivated and want to develop your practice across the school, working with pupils from Year 1 to Year 6. You will be able to support learning delivering intervention programmes to groups and individuals in and outside of the classroom. You will also prepare lessons and teach classes to provide uninterrupted learning during short-term teacher absences.

Above all, you will have high expectations for pupils to succeed and have a caring and nurturing approach to supporting learning.

·        Work closely with the SENCO to deliver programmes to support pupil’s intervention programmes.

·        Have demonstrated you are able to cover in a classroom providing good learning opportunities.

·        Be skilled in monitoring and keeping pupils records and observations.

·        Contribute to pupils Annual Reviews and work with families when necessary.

·        Provide objective and accurate feedback and reports on the pupils’ achievements, progress and other matters

·        Have experience in the enhancement of pupil progress and raising attainment and achievement in all children

·        Have experience of assessing and tracking pupil progress to ensure all learners are making progress
