About You

We are currently recruiting a resilient, enthusiastic, and energetic individual to join our team as an HR Officer.

The ideal candidate will need excellent organisational skills and be creative, approachable, and self-motivated. You will support a range of policies and company processes.

You be trusted to manage your own workload and time effectively, supported by a wider team.

This HR Officer role will include (but is not limited to):

  • Assisting senior leaders with recruitment administration, liaising with agencies, shortlisting, and interviews
  • Working closely with line managers to ensure they understand and implement policies and procedures when dealing with employee relations, absence, and performance
  • Dealing with policy procedures, ensuring fair processes are followed
  • Producing employee letters and contracts
  • Liaison with payroll team
  • Provisioning of reports/HR statistical information as required
  • Ensuring effective and timely management of employee-related issues
  • Assisting with personnel audits and keeping HR systems updated with any changes to employee records


This HR Officer role would suit candidates with experience in HR, administration and personnel.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in all matters, displaying appropriate judgement and initiative when required
  • Strong organisational, planning, project management, and decision-making skills
  • Previous HR experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • An adaptable team player - someone willing to learn
  • Strong administration skills, including working at pace and dealing with changing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Good working knowledge of Outlook, MS Word, and Excel - computer literate

Grove Academy is the first all-through school to open in Slough and provides opportunity and education for 4 to 16 year olds, underpinned by high-quality teaching and learning and a common assessment framework. This continuity ensures that we can avoid the dips in performance associated with transition from one phase or school to another.

As one school we are able to teach subjects to our younger children via specialist subject teachers, such as modern foreign languages and PE.
