Due to the internal re-shaping of the HR team, and an increased focus on a strategic-centred HR approach, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and suitably qualified HR Generalist to join Taunton School, at a pivotal moment for Independent schools.
This is a newly created role with responsibility for supervising 4 HR team members. The HR team are dedicated to delivering the highest standard of work while providing exceptional customer service, and the School are seeking a passionate and experienced team leader to join the team.
Within our large and diverse school, you will manage and oversee the full breadth of HR operations, ensuring the successful and effective delivery of HR operational services. This is a key role where you will provide hands-on, operational HR support and guidance to the HR team and relevant stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for HR operations, and fully understand the HR lifecycle, and the importance of systems, databases, processes, policies, and metrics. You will have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving skills, and a “can do” attitude.
Our school environment is a busy and fast changing one, and you will need to have outstanding organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. In addition, you will be required to always act with tact and discretion.
CIPD L5 qualified, or equivalent, is essential, coupled with demonstrable experience in a generalist HR role at Advisor level or above. Experience of working in a school setting is not essential but desirable.
