If so, then we encourage you to apply for the position of IB English A Teacher to teach DP English A Literature and MYP English Language and Literature, at Ermitage International IB School, France.

We are looking for a qualified and passionate teacher to join our creative and dynamic English Literature Department, an inspirational individual whose background and experience demonstrate an ability to bring out the best in our students.

The ideal candidate should:

  • hold a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Literature or a related discipline.
  • hold a recognized teaching qualification.
  • have experience in course delivery and course design to High School level, ideally within the International Baccalaureate programme.
  • show an ability to lead creative writing and dramatic activities at Middle and High School levels.
  • have excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to form positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
  • be keen to Fully participate in Ermitage IB school life, including as a Homeroom Teacher and in the development of student activities and trips (includes one residential trip per year with Homeroom group)


The candidate must be able to teach and perform all related functions in English, our school language of communication and instruction. It would be an advantage to hold an EU passport and/or have relevant working papers for employment in France.  This full-time position starts on 22 August 2024 and is remunerated between 45,000-50,000 euros per year, subject to experience.
