Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant
"Cuffley School is incredibly warm and welcoming. Pupils feel tremendously safe and well
supported. There is a strong feeling of belonging to one large, happy school community." Ofsted, March 2024
We are looking to recruit a new Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated Key Stage 2 team. We are a close knit crew, working together to give our children the very best care and education we can. If you are a great team player, as well as a self-starter able to work on your own initiative, then this might be the job for you. You will be responsible for supporting teaching and learning in the classroom, covering the class as and when necessary, delivery of small group or individual intervention programmes and lunchtime supervision and support. There are also opportunities to get involved in before and after school clubs, as well as the wider life of the school.
Whilst a Teaching Assistant qualification would be useful, it is not essential. GCSEs at Grade C and above in English and mathematics are desirable. This role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant, someone new to the role or a graduate who is looking to move into teaching in the future. Regardless of your career stage and experience, there will be lots opportunities for training and career development.
All of our Teaching Assistants are encouraged to participate fully in the life of our school and you will be welcomed at all staff meetings, currently held after school on a Monday and INSET days.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm and the actual salary range equates to £14,772 - £16,320 ( £22,737 - £25,119 Full Time Equivalent) depending on skills and experience. Potential initial year groups to be discussed at interview.
If you would like an informal discussion about this role, please telephone our Headteacher, Wendy Wing or our Deputy, Charlotte Lloyd on 01707 888100. All candidates are strongly encouraged to visit the school and to meet our children. Cuffley School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undertake a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service check).
Closing date: 10/01/2025 17:00:00
Interview date: 16th Jan 2025
