Uniting Our World Through Global Learning

At Participate Learning, we believe every student deserves a chance to reach their full potential. That’s why we’ve been partnering with schools and districts in the United States since 1987 to provide International teachers the opportunity to gain new skills, form life-changing connections and impact young lives.

As a Participate Learning Ambassador teacher, you can experience teaching in the U.S. education system while sharing your traditions with your new community. You will help plan events to celebrate your favourite holidays and serve as a role model and mentor to your school community.

In an exciting collaboration with the Wake County Public School System, we are hiring creative and dedicated professionals who believe all children can be successful. Dillard Drive Magnet Elementary is part of the Wake County Public School System, which aims to provide relevant and engaging education and create students who are collaborative, creative, effective communicators, and critical thinkers.

Dillard Drive promotes the following values across the school:

  • Teaching and learning that is engaging, collaborative, equitable, and centred in student choice.
  • Learning experiences that expand student and staff perspectives to develop global citizens.
  • Fostering diverse and meaningful relationships with students that promote a supportive learning environment.
  • Creating inclusive and positive relationships with our families and community partners so that they are active participants in teaching and learning

North Carolina is renowned for its incredible natural beauty and vibrant cities. With the Blue Ridge Mountains in the west, coastal beach towns in the east, and 41 state parks, many places exist for families and solo adventurers to explore. Raleigh, the state capital, is located in the centre of the state and is part of the “Triangle,” an area recently ranked as the #2 place in the country to live by the U.S. News and World Report. Charlotte, the state’s largest city, is home to several major sports teams and various museums to explore.

We are looking for passionate Elementary school teachers committed to sharing their culture, embracing U.S. culture, and increasing mutual understanding between U.S. citizens and citizens of their home country. All applicants must hold a Primary teaching qualification and currently teach within a Primary school setting.

All international candidates are required to apply directly with Participate Learning. Participate Learning has been an official BridgeUSA exchange visitor program with the U.S. Department of State for more than 30 years and has helped more than 10,000 international educators experience teaching full-time in the U.S. Participate Learning is designated to screen, provide visa sponsorship, and support participants throughout their stay in the United States in conjunction with their host school. Candidates must successfully complete Participate Learning’s application process to be considered for this position.
