Actual Salary: £20,997-£22,483

Full-time, part-time and flexible working requests will be considered for this post

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, confident, resourceful and self-motivated Learning Supervisor to join our valued team of support staff. If you are an effective team player with a positive and proactive approach to work then we would like to hear from you.

Although full-time is preferred, we will also consider part-time and flexible working requests for this post. Should you wish to discuss this post, or any other aspects of this role with the Headteacher prior to application, please contact the Headteacher’s PA by email - aeyre@fairfieldhighschool.co.uk

Working within an established and multi-skilled team, the successful candidate will provide high quality cover supervision across the school, delivering a variety of lessons or learning activities in the absence of a teacher. This will involve taking responsibility for the supervision of classes and enabling pre-set work to be completed in instances of temporary teacher absence. When not covering for short-term absence, the successful candidate will assist in supporting pupils’ learning in other areas of the school, as required.

To be successful in this application, you must be able to demonstrate flexibility and initiative and show that you can motivate, engage and inspire pupils of all ages and abilities and actively contribute to the high expectations and achievements of the school. Previous classroom experience overseeing pupils’ learning across a range of curriculum subjects, and delivering learning activities or cover lessons to KS3 and KS4 pupils, would be a distinct advantage but not essential as full training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for a colleague looking to gain experience and thrive in a classroom-based role.

As a very popular, high-achieving and oversubscribed 11-16 girls’ school with approx. 1000 pupils on roll, we have a reputation for outstanding pupil outcomes, teaching and learning. This is achieved through a supportive programme of personal development, high expectations of pupil behaviour, academic rigour and a strongly inclusive ethos.

We are excited to be able to offer this position to join a welcoming team, in a positive work environment, where you can make a valued contribution to our continuous development. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with practitioners who are committed to professional development and have the highest expectations of and aspirations for the pupils they serve. We have high expectations of ourselves and each other, but we are always ready to support one another, too.

Details and an application form can be obtained from our website at: www.fairfieldhighschool.co.uk

Prospective candidates are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible as the school reserves the right to close the advert should we feel able to appoint an appropriate candidate during the application process.
