Job overview
We are currently looking to recruit an Early Years Learning Support Assistant who will support pupils, teachers and school to guide learning in the Early Years Department to the highest possible standard. Working together with teaching and coordination staff, the Learning Support Assistant will ensure the safety and welfare of all EY pupils, will carry out planned activities and duties that will ensure all pupils receive rich and stimulating learning experiences, meeting their individual needs, and supporting their inclusion in all aspects of school life.
The English Centre is a co-educational, independent school with two form entry and runs from 2 to 18. Early Years follows the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework which has been adapted to meet our pupils’ needs.
Our aim is to produce healthy well-balanced pupils who reach their full potential. This is carried out in a positive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to participate fully in all areas of school life and acquire a lifelong love of learning.

We are looking for:
- An enthusiastic, flexible and caring person, committed to working with younger pupils
- A Level 2/3 Early Years qualification or equivalent is desirable
- Preferably with experience working in an Early Years setting. Familiarity or experience with the EYFS is considered an advantage
- A high standard of spoken English
- A good communicator, with strong interpersonal skills
- A well-organised and proactive person, who assumes responsibilities, and if necessary, has the ability to lead and motivate others in particular aspects of the provision
- Qualified to work in Europe.

About El Centro Ingles
Founded in 1969 by Linda Randell, The English Centre (El Centro Inglés) is located in Cádiz, Spain. The area of Cádiz is located on the country’s southwestern coast, and has a population of 124,000. The school campus spreads across 18,000 square metres, of which 7,500 is designated classroom space. School facilities include a music room, ICT Suites, laboratory and specialist classrooms, dining room, kitchen, tutorial rooms, reception, bar, indoor hall and assembly hall.
The English Centre is co-educational and secular, and students are taught between the ages of 2-18. The school hosts language immersion Summer Camps, courses abroad and in Language Centres. The Palabramos is a creative writing workshop for 10-18 year olds, and is unique for the Cádiz region. The English Centre identity is founded around the idea that ‘English is Fun’, and utilises modern teaching methods to continually improve language education.
