About the Role

City of London Academies Trust (COLAT) is seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant starting in September 2024. You will work in a team of experienced Learning Support Assistants under the direct supervision of the Deputy SENCo. You will have experience of working with children requiring additional support needs in a school as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant. Normal working hours are 8.00am - 4.00pm. It is expected that you would be available to support certain meetings outside of these hours by agreement in advance for which time off in lieu will be accrued. There are also INSET training days and TWILIGHT evenings throughout the academic year which you are expected to attend.

About you

You should have excellent IT skills, be well organised and a team player. You will have the ability to build effective relationships with students and deal with unexpected situations during the school day. You must also be willing to undertake further training. You will be expected to manage your own workload and prioritise work appropriately. Excellent communication skills both oral and written are an essential part of the role to be able to deal with staff, students, parents and external agencies.
