An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and energetic professional to join the Construction team at Chesterfield College, delivering education and training from the Construction Skills Hub located at Mastin Moor.
The Construction Skills Hub will also provide a practical platform for construction training, careers activity and work experience.
Acting as a catalyst for construction-related training and employment, the Hub will initially be situated at the Devonshire Group’s Mastin Moor site which has planning permission for 650 homes, a care facility, local centre and extensive parkland.
The new team member will be required to teach on a range of programmes from Levels 1 to 2 in multi skill construction courses in both workshops and classroom environments.
Applicants should have at least a Level 2 qualification in an associated trade (Brickwork, Plastering, Joinery or Painting and Decorating) and varied experience working in the Construction Industry. The successful candidate will have a passion for their subject and a desire to train the next generation of construction workers.
Possession of a teacher training qualification would also be an advantage as would a relevant assessor award. However a willingness to work towards these qualifications would be acceptable.
