What's the role? We need someone with energy, enthusiasm, and a knack for problem-solving to help us maintain and develop our facilities to the highest standard. You’ll work closely with our Trust Maintenance Manager to make sure everything runs smoothly, contributing to long-term plans and getting hands-on to keep things in tip-top shape.

This isn’t your typical maintenance job – it’s fast-paced, practical, and incredibly rewarding. You'll be creating solutions that directly impact the lives of our staff and students, helping to build a thriving environment where everyone can excel.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

  • You’ll be working full-time (37 hours per week, year-round) in a permanent role that keeps you on your toes.
  • You’ll have the chance to design and build innovative solutions, bringing your ideas to life.
  • You’ll make a real difference every day, keeping our schools running smoothly for the children and staff who depend on you.

About us

We are Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, and we bring together the 36 Catholic Primary and Secondary schools in Lincolnshire, Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire focussed on delivering high quality learning and teaching in a safe and nurturing environment.

What You’ll Bring:

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a facilities maintenance role.
  • A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
  • A deep understanding of routine and preventative maintenance, with a focus on health & safety.
  • A full UK driver’s licence (trailer-towing skills? Even better!).
  • The ability to think on your feet and get creative with solutions.
  • Enthusiasm, energy, and a can-do attitude.

What’s In It For You?

  • Competitive salary: £25,979 - £28,770 per annum (OLOL Band 4, Scale points 11 - 17)
  • Company transport, PPE, workwear, laptop, and mobile phone – everything you need to get the job done!
  • Industry training and opportunities for professional development – you can even work towards an industry qualification in Land-based or Environmental Services.
  • A team of talented and highly committed staff in a supportive working environment.
  • Automatic enrolment into the Local Government Pension Scheme for support staff, one of the most competitive on the market, with employer contributions of above 20% in most cases.
  • Professional assistance through our Employee Assistance Programme– emotional, financial and legal support to both you and your family by a team of qualified professionals.
  • Health and wellbeing delivered through our occupational health provider.
  • Staff discounts and a salary sacrifice scheme that includes a Cycle-to-work scheme.

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust is one of three Trusts created across the Diocese of Nottingham as part of a visionary approach to Catholic education across the Diocese.

We bring together the 36 Catholic Primary and Secondary schools in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, Lincoln and Lincolnshire.

We are, first and foremost, a Catholic Multi-Academy Trust and aim to provide an outstanding faith based education; we place the life, teachings and person of Jesus Christ at the centre of everything we do.

Our priority is to ensure the very best Catholic education for all young people in our community, whatever their circumstances. We will achieve this together, through a strategic approach to sharing best practice, effective challenge and support from a central standards and performance team and opportunities for high quality Initial Teacher Training and Continuing Professional Development offered by the CMAT’s Training Hub.

This is a really exciting time in education across our Diocese and it is a great privilege for us to be able to play a central role in shaping the all round education of the young people in the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust. I really hope you will join us on the journey!
