Have you got a way with numbers and an eye for angles and looking for an opportunity to make a real impact in an educational setting? Joseph Leckie Academy is seeking a dedicated and proactive Maths Classroom Support and Interventions Teaching Assistant to join our team.
You will assist in providing comprehensive support, working with students on a one to one basis, in small group as well as classroom support within the Maths Faculty.
Key Responsibilities:
· Work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff, to undertake work, care and support programmes, to enable access to learning for students.
· Assist the teacher in the management of students and the classroom.
- Work with students may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.
- Working cohesively with the relevant staff to ensure swift and effective action in relation to a student’s support needs.
- Proficient in ICT
- Support and maintain collaborative relationships with staff and external professionals.
The successful candidate must be qualified to a minimum of GCSE level (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C or Level 4/5 and have a proven experience in a Teaching Assistant role.
