About Grateley House School
Grateley House is a successful 38-week residential school, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, for young people, aged 11 – 19, with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder, typically, high functioning and/or with associated disorders.
The school currently has 35 students on roll; however, this will increase over the next three years as the school embarks on an exciting period of growth.
We offer a broad and balanced, challenging and relevant curriculum rooted in the National Curriculum, delivered by an experienced and dedicated staff team. Our aim is to fully prepare our students for successful lives beyond Grateley House School.
About the role
We require a qualified Teacher of Maths, with experience of teaching across key stages 3 – 5, who has the ability to make a significant contribution to our school. The successful candidate will have the confidence and willingness to work proactively alongside other experienced colleagues to develop Maths throughout the school. You will take a creative approach to teaching students, according to their educational needs, ensuring delivery of the curriculum in a way that maximises their achievement and ability to develop.
Within this role, you will teach students in a fun and engaging way and work with an experienced and knowledgeable support staff, including therapists, to ensure that each student is receiving the support they require.
You will have a flexible, creative and practical approach to learning and be responsible for developing individualised / small group programmes. Class sizes are no more than 7 students, with dedicated TA support, and you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Essential
- Experience of teaching Maths to GCSE level
- Willingness to work towards further qualifications as required
- QTS or QTLS
- Knowledge of teaching the National Curriculum
- Understanding ASD and/or additional needs
