As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Maths Teacher (Remote) to join our online school, ADL.

About the School

ADL supports pupils who are unable to attend mainstream education. We are an online “school” who specialise in working with looked after pupils and pupils who cannot access mainstream education as they are between placements, have complex medical needs or because they are in danger of exclusion. We provide a live platform for teaching and learning through a remote network of home-based teachers and deliver live lessons in small groups via online classrooms supported by an extensive library of e-teaching & learning materials.

We are expanding our work with these extra-ordinary young people by creating an evening tuition provision to help support progress and attainment for this underserved group. We aim to deliver a high quality of education to students aged 10 to 16 years,

As part of Outcomes First Group, we are leading our sector in setting and delivering new approaches that provide measurable outcomes for those in our care.

We are really proud to say that in 2024, Outcomes First Group were officially certified as a ‘Great Place to Work’ for the fifth year running.

About the Role

Our teachers are encouraged to take a creative approach, seeking ways to positively engage with and motivate pupils through lessons that promote learning and raise levels of attainment. Smaller class sizes mean you can focus on building a purposeful learning environment that meets individual educational needs of pupils, helping to narrow the gap for pupils who are behind where they should be.

We teach live lessons in small groups via online classrooms. Our teachers work from home and are fully supported by excellent technical back-up. If you are interested in helping us transform lives through learning, we’d love to hear from you.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for experienced teachers who will focus on the positive outcomes for our pupils and will take responsibility for helping improve their quality of learning.

You will have a proven ability to deliver high quality lessons. Although not essential, some virtual classroom experience would be helpful and ability to teach another subject may be an advantage. The post is a full time, permanent position, throughout the school year and all of our teachers are expected to have significant face to face classroom experience, QTS status or equivalent and a degree in the subject taught.

Whilst previous experience of working in a SEMH/ SEN environment would be desirable, excellent support skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important. The successful person will have innovative ideas who can inspire even the most disengaged learners.

If you are looking to join a dedicated team that will welcome your ideas and aim to re-engage the young people we teach, we would like to hear from you. We focus on the positive outcomes of our pupils and take responsibility for helping improve the lives of our young people.
