Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dance Teacher to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a wide range of dance styles, excellent choreographic skills and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and inspiring students of all ages. As a Dance Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering a love for dance while developing the technical skills of our pupils in a supportive and engaging environment in preparation for exams and performance shows.

Duties

- Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons tailored to the needs and abilities of students.

- Teach various dance styles, ensuring that students learn proper techniques, choreography, and performance skills.

- Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages creativity and self-expression.

- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their skills and confidence.

- Organise and participate in dance recitals, dance exams, competitions, and other events to showcase student progress.

- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of dance trends, techniques, and teaching methods.


Qualifications

Essential: A N.A.T.D. Qualification (minimum of Associate Level Qualification)

Desired:

- Proven experience as a Dance Instructor / teacher.

- Proficiency in one or more dance style.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.

- A passion for teaching and nurturing talent in others.

- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.

Newbridge Preparatory School is a leading independent day school for children aged 2 to 11. Newbridge Preparatory School has been an independent day school in Wolverhampton since 1937. Newbridge Preparatory School moved to its present site in Newbridge Crescent in 1949. The school was originally founded by an eminent local surgeon and initially operated as a member of the Parents’ National Education Union. Many former pupils affectionately remember the P.N.E.U School.
