Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced English and Humanities Teacher to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching GCSE English Language, English Language and Literature, History, and A Level English and History. Experience with English as an Additional Language (EAL) is highly beneficial.


Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver high-quality instruction in GCSE English Language, English Language and Literature, and History.

- Teach A Level English and A Level History with a focus on engaging and inspiring students.

- Provide support for students learning English as an Additional Language (EAL).

- Support and guide students through personalised learning pathways, ensuring they progress through their courses at their own pace and according to their individual needs and levels.

- Plan, organise, and schedule timelines of course content as well as effective exam preparation for students working at different paces.

- Create lesson plans, content, and worksheets, and guide students through interactive lessons.

- Write reports and reflections while maintaining strong insight into the progress of each individual student.

- Mentor students participating in their Extended Project Qualification, guiding them in planning, time management, research-based skills, and essay writing.

- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience at Lucerne International School.


Qualifications:

- A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) and a degree in English, History, or a related field.

- Experience teaching GCSE and A Level courses, preferably within the British International Curriculum.

- Proven experience in a hybrid-learning environment, with the ability to integrate online and face-to-face teaching effectively.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Fluency in English: C2 or Mother tongue.

- A passion for education and a commitment to student success.

- Ability to provide a recent police clearance record.

- Two written references.
