Job overview

We are looking to appoint a professional and supportive individual, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, to deliver a professional, efficient and effective administrative support service to the Headteacher.  The successful candidate will work  in accordance with the school’s agreed policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, maintaining confidentiality and high professional standards at all times in this busy and varied role. We want someone to manage all arrangements for cover for absent colleagues (teachers and support staff) including arranging suitable supply staff and deploying Leaning Managers ensuring all arrangements are in place for the day ahead.

The successful candidate must possess the administrative skills to support the school. You will need to have excellent communication and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and young people. This is a permanent appointment which is subject to a 12-month probationary period. The normal hours of work are 36 hours per week: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am to 3:00pm and Friday, 7:00am to 2.45pm, with some evenings for meetings as required. This includes a 45-minute unpaid break. The position is full time.
