Rugby School Thailand (RST), a co-educational day and boarding international School set in 80 acres of glorious Thai countryside south of Bangkok, opened in September 2017 for 110 pupils aged 2 – 10 years.

By January 2023, the School had grown to over 1,000 students up to Year 13, including boarders, attracting students from all over Thailand and South East Asia.

The structure, School day and ethos of RST are based upon the British Independent School model, rather than the standard international school model. As such, the School has three sections: Pre-Prep (2-6 year olds), Prep (7 – 12 year olds) and Senior (13 – 18 year olds).

Rugby School Thailand is the first overseas sister School of Rugby School UK, one of the most prestigious and well-known Schools in the UK. Rugby School Thailand shares Rugby School UK’s DNA in every important respect. It is unique.

The health, safety and well-being of young people are of paramount importance to all the adults who work at Rugby School Thailand. The PE Department

Rugby School Thailand has some of the best sports facilities in Asia. Two large sports centres including 6 full-size basketball courts, 4 volleyball courts, 14 badminton courts, netball, handball and 1 indoor tennis court. We have a large state of the art fitness suite for strength and conditioning training, pilates, yoga and dance spaces. To complement these indoor facilities, we also have a 25m teaching pool, a 25m short course and 50m Olympic long course racing pools. There are also 4 outdoor tennis courts, extensive playing fields for football, rugby, athletics and a boating lake for sailing, kayaking, SUP and outdoor pursuits.

Students participate in scheduled PE lessons throughout the week where they can experience new activities, learn new skills and exercise for fitness and well being. Beyond the school day, enrichment opportunities are endless with both sports teams and recreational activities available every night of the week.

The PE department is led by the Director of Sport who oversees all elements of the PE and sports programme both curricular and enrichment. As a member of this department you will join a team of 10 PE staff, 12 Sport coaches, 5 sports assistants and a team of 7 swimming coaches.

Rugby School Thailand seeks to employ a fully qualified and experienced Physical Education teacher to deliver a broad and varied sports curriculum across all Key Stages.

The successful teacher will be expected to deliver lessons across the School, coach teams, take fixtures locally, in Bangkok and overseas, mentor students and share professional practice.

Qualifications, Identification, Health and Background Checks

Rugby School Thailand is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all the students in our care and expects all applicants to share this commitment. You will be required to provide documentation for proof of your identity, including an attested (by a notary) birth certificate, and qualifications. If successful at interview the position will be offered subject to satisfactory references and police checks. For candidates who have worked and/or lived in the UK, we will request that you have an up to date ICPC and we will complete Prohibition Order Checks . We also require that anyone who has lived and worked in a country other than the UK for more than 6 months has a police check from the national checking agency. All references will be verified, we require a minimum of two references with one reference from your present or most recent employer. RUGBY SCHOOL THAILAND

Rugby School Thailand is a co-educational day and boarding international school set in 74 acres of glorious Thai countryside south of Bangkok.
