6:00am - 2:15pm (Mon - Thu) 6:00am - 2:00pm (Fri) (with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break) OR 11:30am - 7:45pm (Mon - Thu) 11:45am - 7:45pm (Fri) (with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break)

Contract: Full-time, permanent. 

Holiday Entitlement: Paid holiday entitlement is 24 days + 8 bank holidays

Start date: As soon as possible

Location: Ruislip High School will be the primary location of employment but the successful candidate will be expected to be available to work at any Trust location should the need arise.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly effective individual to join our premises department. The successful applicant will work with the premises manager and the premises team who manage and maintain all aspects of the school’s buildings and grounds to provide a clean, healthy and safe environment for all school users. 


The duties of the role will include carrying out day-to-day minor maintenance work and repairs; setting up equipment in preparation for dining, assemblies, parent consultations, and other school functions; ensuring that heating and lighting systems are working properly; to ensure that the buildings and site are left in a secure situation; receiving and distributing school deliveries; and some external grounds maintenance.


This is a varied role and would suit someone with facilities/school premises experience (although not essential) and who is looking to develop their career.

Ruislip High School, based in Middlesex, is a secondary academy for girls and boys between the ages of 11 and 18. Currently there are 1300 students enrolled at the school, located in Hillingdon. It opened in 2006 and was converted to academy status in on April 1, 2014.
