Values and vision
St Mary Magdalene C of E School aims to teach pupils to treat others as they would expect to be treated. The pastoral structure of the school ensures that every student is known individually. Children are provided with opportunities to develop their mentoring and leadership skills. The school specialises in Religious Studies and collective worship is a key part of each school day. Teachers intend collective worship, which is led by senior leaders or the School Chaplain, to be a creative and responsive time that follows the Anglican calendar and also acknowledges the key dates of other faiths.
Inspections
St Mary Magdalene All Through School was inspected by SIAMS in 2018 and was graded Outstanding in all areas. It was also inspected by Ofsted in 2023 and continues to be a Good school.
Christ Church CofE PrimarySchool
We are a Church of England primary school, in the heart of East Greenwich, that promotes and celebrates our Christian ethos in all that we do.
As a one form entry school, we pride ourselves on knowing each and every child and work in partnership with families to ensure that all our pupils achieve their full potential. We strive for excellence and high standards through the Federation core values of faith, family and fellowship. We want our pupils to go out into the world happy, courageous, resilient, motivated with a life-long love of learning fully equipped to make a positive contribution to society.
We have an inspiring and creative curriculum that meets both the academic and spiritual needs of the all of our pupils. Our caring-team work hard to break down any barriers to learning so that everyone has an equal chance to flourish. We guide our pupils to encourage one another to be resilient in their learning.
Outside the school building, our large grounds provide lots of space for our pupils to enjoy the outdoors. This includes a beautiful community garden and forest school space which are used to enhance the curriculum and the pupils’ learning experiences.
