Primary EAL Teacher
Applications are invited from enthusiastic, well qualified, committed and experienced EAL teachers.
Applications are invited from enthusiastic, qualified (PGCE, B.Ed or equivalent and relevant EAL teaching qualifications - see Job Description) and experienced teachers with experience of working as an EAL teacher supporting children that require English as an additional language. A minimum of two years teaching in a primary school is required or 2 years teaching in a language school. The EAL department at BVIS offers intervention to children through a mixture of withdrawal and in class support across the Primary years.
You must be committed to teaching within a bilingual learning environment, with a desire to work in a unique and world leading language rich environment that is both innovative and forward thinking, putting children’s passion for learning and personalised pastoral care at the forefront of your practice. You will challenge your students to set ambitious targets for themselves and seek out and implement innovative teaching practices to enhance the student experience and outcomes.
