Job overview
The Casco Schools are looking to appoint enthusiastic and passionate Key Stage 2 (Year 2-6) Primary school teacher to work in our close, supportive and dynamic team.
Watch our video here for a little more on life in Panama and at The Casco School.
As a boutique, bilingual British school, The Casco School was established to provide high-quality education in Panama. We currently offer preschool, primary, and high school programmes. Our schools are united by one philosophy: we are ambitious for our students, our staff, and our community.
The Casco School is unique in character, offering a truly engaging global education for students, nestled in two of Panama's neighbourhoods: the main business district, Costa del Este, and in the north of the city, Albrook. Our schools are creative, dynamic, and centred around a strong community of families seeking a distinctive neighbourhood school. We welcome families from around the world, all of whom embrace our international ethos.
We aim to inspire our students to learn, explore, and excel, developing them into confident, creative, and well-rounded global citizens who approach challenges with determination and enthusiasm. We offer an unparalleled standard of personalised education, providing opportunities for students to explore their creative side and learn from the best international teachers in small groups. Each classroom has both an English- and Spanish-speaking co-teacher working collaboratively to tailor learning for every child. We follow Talk for Writing, White Rose Mathematics, and our own bilingual approach to phonics. Experience in any of these is advantageous but not required.
As a member of our team, we genuinely value your skills and experience. We operate with a horizontal leadership approach, with our school principals actively involved in daily school life. Decisions are made collaboratively wherever possible, as we recognise that teachers know the children best. As a purposefully smaller school, our leaders and teachers know each child on campus, reinforcing our commitment to building a community-driven school. While we are bilingual, we do not expect fluency in Spanish, only a positive attitude towards learning.
Discover Panama – a vibrant paradise where stunning beaches meet lush rainforests, and rich cultural history blends with modern amenities. With a warm climate year-round, an affordable cost of living, and welcoming communities, Panama offers an exceptional quality of life. The country’s excellent healthcare and booming economy make it ideal for families, professionals, and individuals alike. From the cosmopolitan energy of Panama City to the peaceful beauty of coastal towns, Panama provides a unique balance of adventure and relaxation, making it a perfect place to call home.
