Nord Anglia Education, the world’s leading international schools’ organisation is looking for a Principal to drive the development and ongoing success of Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong (NAISHK).


NAISHK is a through-train day school known for its warm and friendly global community, made up of over 40 nationalities. Opened in 2014, the school provides extraordinary learning opportunities to students aged 3 to 18. The school follows the English National Curriculum frameworks of EYFS and through Key Stages 1-3. From Year 10, the school uses the IGCSE pathway and follows the IB Diploma Programme post 16. With a focus on individualised learning, the school’s rigorous curricula ensures that students have a creative and challenging learning experience. The school has three dedicated campuses located in Sai Kung, Lam Tin and Kwun Tong for Early Years, Primary and Secondary students.


In 2024, IB Diploma graduates exceeded expectations, earning an impressive average score of 33.4 points - over 3 points above the global average – with a perfect 100% pass rate. We’re delighted that our students go on to be accepted into the world’s best universities in UK, US, Hong Kong, and beyond, year after year.

THE ROLE


The Principal will inspire, lead, develop and manage all aspects of school life, including playing a key role in nurturing the values and culture of the school. Critical to their success will be the continued delivery of the school’s distinctive educational offer and unerring focus on achieving the very highest standards and building strong purposeful relationships within the community. 


The successful applicant will:

  • Be an excellent communicator and compelling storyteller.
  • Understand how to blend the best of premium education with contemporary international thinking to maintain a distinctive positioning for the school.
  • Understand that leading learning is at the heart of school leadership and will build a team committed to delivering this.
  • Drive the marketing and admissions process of the school with passion and a focus on quality that grows both the school and the school’s reputation.
  • Collaborate and build high performing teams, inspiring sustainable relationships.
  • Engage with students, teachers, parents, and community leaders in a manner that is open, inclusive and conveys the values of NAE.
  • Manage financial budgets and commercial aspects of the school with astuteness and engage with, and contribute successfully to the wider organisation.
  • Demonstrate the ability to create and execute a strategic plan and manage complex projects.


In addition, the appointed candidate will also:

  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification at least at Bachelor degree level.
  • Demonstrate evidence of ongoing professional development.
  • Have direct experience of working with the English National Curriculum and post 16 education with a sound knowledge of the IBDP.
  • Bring experience of school leadership within an environment of scale and complexity.
  • Be comfortable managing growth and change.
