The School is looking to recruit a new Morning Receptionist who will play an essential part in providing high-quality customer service to all parents, visitors and staff. Working all year around, and reporting to the Headmasters’ PA, this varied and interesting role will suit individuals who have strong administration skills and a friendly and engaging manner.

The Reception team currently has a morning and afternoon Receptionist who are each responsible for creating a warm, positive and welcoming presence, greeting all incoming pupils, families and guests respectfully and professionally. The Receptionist answers phone calls in a pleasant informed manner, manages visitors parking and ensures safeguarding procedures are followed including ensuring visitors are signed in and issued with lanyards and are accompanied on site. The role also manages the enquiries e-mail inbox by monitoring, forwarding and responding to emails as appropriate and prepares outgoing post, including using the franking machine ready for post collection.

Successful applicants must be committed to safeguarding and will be subject to an enhanced DBS and Child protection checks. We are an equal opportunities employer.

Wellington School is a Church of England denominational, co-educational, day and boarding school in Somerset. As of the most recent inspection, there were 900 pupils on the school roll. The school’s motto is the opening of Psalm 127; ‘If God Be Not With Us, Our Labour is in Vain’. The Senior School teaches pupils between the ages of 11-18. The school also offers preparatory facilities from the ages of 3 onwards. Founded in 1837 as a boys school, Wellington has been fully independent and co-educational since 1978. The 35 acre site is a combination of traditional and more recent architecture. The school operates in both a boarding and day capacity.
