Job overview

We are looking to appoint a dynamic and self-motivated individual to work within our busy school kitchen. Duties include serving of meals, cleaning and wash up duties in addition to operation of the cashless till, including running reports and assisting with end of day reconciliations and accounts.

We are seeking:

• Experience of working within a high-volume food service

• A strong background in a food based, fast paced environment

• Level 2 award in Food Safety (or willingness to undertake)

• A team player with a willingness to contribute to all aspects of our busy catering team

• An individual with good communication skills able to work on own initiative

We can offer:

• Term time only contract with sociable hours Monday to Friday

Salary – Grade 3 point 3-4

22.5 hours per week, term time only

9.45am to 2.45 pm

£12,354 – £12,548 pro rata

Start Date: January 2025

Shuttleworth College is a mixed, mainstream secondary school in Padiham, near Burnley in Lancashire. It caters to students aged 11 to 16 and has approximately 1,111 pupils enrolled. 

Shuttleworth College was founded in September 2006 from the merger of Gawthorpe High School and Habergham High Sixth Form. It was provided with a brand-new facilities under the Building Schools for the Future programme. The school now boasts a restaurant-style kitchen, dance studio, sports hall, fitness room, tennis courts and all-weather sports pitches.
