Job overview

The Head teacher is looking to appoint a highly professional School Counsellor who will deliver a therapeutic service to the pupils at Valentines High School whilst helping to raise awareness of Mental Health support services amongst the school community.

The successful candidate would be working alongside a team of psychotherapy and counselling practitioners and mentors, to deliver one-to-one and group therapeutic work for students. The successful candidate will also work closely with parent and carers where necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

Valentines is a school that recognises the value of mental health and resilience as a prerequisite to academic excellence.

This is a full-time position, working 36 hours per week, term time only.
