Role Overview: We seek an experienced, qualified School Counselor to provide comprehensive counseling services to our student body. The successful candidate will work within our student support team to deliver individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and preventative mental health programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement comprehensive school counseling programs aligned with ASCA National Model
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
- Conduct risk assessments and crisis intervention when needed
- Lead preventative mental health initiatives and social-emotional learning programs
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records
- Coordinate with external mental health providers and community resources
- Assist students with academic planning, college preparation, and career guidance
- Deliver staff training on mental health awareness and student support strategies
- Participate in child study team meetings and contribute to IEP/504 planning
