We are looking to appoint a Science Technician who can support our teaching team in delivering practicals effectively and safely. We require someone with a thorough and meticulous approach and ideally, a strong scientific and technical knowledge.
This is a full-time role, but for the right candidate part-time hours would be considered.
Starting salary will depend upon qualifications, experience and level of responsibility.
Practical work is at the heart of the Science curriculum at Wilmslow High School and the science team prides itself on its delivery of sound and safe practical science for all our students. Our highly regarded laboratory technicians are a key part of our team and central in ensuring we achieve this vision.
The Science team consists of 24 members of teaching staff and 5 technical support staff, and the curriculum area is well-equipped with 14 laboratories. We offer A Levels in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology and a variety of examination packages at GCSE, including Triple Science, Combined Science and when appropriate, Entry Level Certificate.
