Science Technician

Science Technician, Grade 5 £26,873 - £28,770 working 37 hours per week term time only plus 10 days which equates to £23,605 - £25,272 per annum

Temporary post to cover absence until June 2025

North East Futures UTC based in the centre of Newcastle is a 14 – 19 school where all students specialise in Healthcare Science or Computer Science and replicates a business environment with state-of-the-art facilities.

You will work as part of the Science department assisting with the preparation of practical lessons, preparing and setting out equipment for lessons, promoting the awareness of health and safety in the laboratory, maintenance of the stocks of science chemicals and equipment and contributing to planning, development and organisation of systems, procedures and policies within the departments. You will also be required to undertake some whole school health and safety duties.
