Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Grower to join the team in the Market Garden at Forty Hall Farm, a vibrant and intensive growing site occupying three hectares of land within the farm, demonstrating sustainable organic production techniques whilst producing food for local consumption through our on-site farm shop and Enfield Veg Co, our own local veg bag delivery scheme.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic grower, ideally with some experience of small scale commercial growing. The opportunity is an ideal step to gain more experience in organic vegetable production.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working outside in all weathers, and will be able to work in high temperatures in polytunnels during the summer. They should have a commitment to engaging with the community and in working with the Farm team to create a unique facility at Forty Hall Farm. They will have a demonstrable interest in organic farming, food production and horticulture, and a commitment to environmental sustainability.
