JESS Arabian Ranches Secondary School is seeking an outstanding, enthusiastic and driven IBDP Mathematics Teacher to start in August 2025. This position is only suitable for Mathematics Teachers with existing experience of teaching Higher Level Analysis and Approaches (HL AA) and/or Higher-Level Applications and Interpretation (HL AI) on the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. Applicants without experience of teaching these courses will not be considered for the position. 

We are looking to appoint a highly-motivated, talented professional with exceptional subject knowledge, a proven track record of excellence in delivering the IBDP Higher Level AA and/or AI courses, and a clear understanding of effective and engaging teaching and learning to join our successful and supportive Mathematics Department.  

The successful candidate’s central commitment will be delivering the IBDP AA and/or AI Mathematics courses to Higher Level IB students; however, the role will also include delivering Mathematics and Further Mathematics at iGCSE level, as well as both teaching Key Stage 3 and supporting the department with curriculum alignment between Key Stage 3 – Key Stage 5. It would be highly advantageous for candidates to have experience leading/facilitating IB Mathematics workshops, and/or having undertaken work as an examiner for the IB.

• be a fully qualified and experienced Mathematics Teacher with a relevant degree and professional teaching qualification with a minimum of 3 years teaching experience 
• has experience of teaching, as well as a strong track record of successful academic outcomes on the IBDP Higher Level Mathematics Applications and Interpretation (HL AI) and/or Analysis and Approaches (HL AA) courses 
• be committed to personal professional development and has relevant recent professional development that qualifies them for this role  
• is able to use and promote a range of teaching and learning strategies and ability to create a stimulating and safe learning environment for all students by establishing high expectations and implementing effective classroom management and organisation 
• has a successful track history of outstanding teaching experience 
• has a robust knowledge, understanding and track record of raising standards in Mathematics 
• is committed to collaborating with other staff members and building strong relationships 
• is committed to safeguarding and child protection and the wider pastoral care of students in their care 
• be able to contribute to wider school life outside the classroom in terms of extracurricular activities and school community events
