Job overview

Secondary Teacher

Main Pay Scale

February Half Term Start

We are looking for an enthusiastic Teacher to join our dedicated, friendly and high performing staff body. This is an exciting opportunity to teach within your specialism but also cover varied lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. As the reputation of Waseley improves and the number of students increases rapidly we are increasing the staffing capacity and would like somebody with the flexibility and personality to support across the school.

This post would suit a qualified teacher with a passion for student progress and is happy to deliver lessons outside of specialism with resources provided where we have staff out on CPD or training. This would be perfect for someone who enjoys day to day classroom teaching but with reduced expectations on marking and planning. This is an incredibly exciting time to join Waseley because of the journey it is on and our state-of-the-art new school which is currently being built and will open in September.

We are a school in the Central Regions School Trust, whose mission is social justice through exceptional schools. Therefore, this provides us with the opportunities, capabilities and desire to develop both our staff and students. We have a range of pathways and programmes tailored to the needs of staff at various levels of their career.

Applications are welcomed from professionals who possess the necessary drive and commitment to work with our students to contribute to the continued improvement of Waseley. In return there will be clear opportunities for personal and professional development.

Interested candidates who wish to have an informal conversation about this role are welcome to contact Principal’s PA Mrs Attridge: mattridge@waseleyhills.worcs.sch.uk

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Online checks will be carried out on shortlisted candidates.

The completed application should be submitted by 8.00am on Monday 16th December with interviews later that week prior to breaking up for the Christmas break. We reserve the right to interview earlier should suitable candidates apply.
